The causeway renovation on the western side of Torsholma has begun. Due to the work, Ålandstrafiken will temporarily operate from the same quay on the eastern side of the island as the commuter ferry Finnö, currently estimated to continue until the end of the year.
This arrangement may cause delays to Finnö's schedule. Thank you for your patience.

ADVANCE NOTICE REGARDING KOIVUKANTA FERRY TRAFFIC
Dredging and blasting works at the Koivukanta ferry route will restrict ferry operations during weekday night-time hours.
Dredging and blasting works at the Koivukanta ferry route in Savonlinna will begin in September.
The Economic Development Centre of Southwest Finland is commissioning dredging and blasting works at the Koivukanta ferry route in preparation for ferry operations under the upcoming 20-year service agreement. The main contractor is Oteran Oy.
The dredging and blasting works will be carried out over a period of approximately three months, starting in mid-September. During the works, ferry traffic will be subject to recurring traffic interruptions, particularly affecting night-time operations on weekdays between 11:00 PM and 5:00 AM.
A separate traffic bulletin will specify when the Koivukanta ferry night service:
- is available on a limited basis with a reduced level of service
- is available only for emergency and rescue vehicles within a revised operating schedule to be agreed separately with the authorities
- is subject to a traffic interruption during the night-time period, for example from 23.00 to 05.00
Short traffic disruptions and interruptions may also occur during daytime hours.
During the works, Fintraffic Oy's Road Traffic Centre will provide information on traffic disruptions 24 hours a day.
